Saaremaa Vodka is produced from high-quality spirits and water. The spirit is made using six-row barley, which is milled and finally boiled into a fermentable mash. Distillation takes place in a distillation unit consisting of seven 25-meter-high columns, where Altia´s innovative multi-pressure distillation system is used. As the grain spirit is burned in a continuous process of more than 200 steps, all additives are removed. The finished product is 96.5% vol. strong, high-quality grain spirit that is mixed with clean water from a 150 m deep borehole. The water is filtered to separate the iron and calcium and the result is a completely clean and smooth taste. Saaremaa Vodka can be enjoyed ice-cold as an independent drink, but it is also perfect as a base drink for various cocktails.
